Hello,

The mxf free tool is looking fine. I have tried this using the samples given in mxfgui2.zip. And also able to create the equivalent mxf wrap file.

And also using this i am able to create mxf wrap file using the any audio file of .wav format. But when i am trying to create the mxf wrap file by giving input essence as table.mpeg , words.mpeg,...etc(some mpeg files downloaded from internet), i am getting an as:

Command: mxfwrap C:\anu\25july2006\Respect.mpg c:\anu\27july2006\respect_mxf.mxf

MXFlib File Wrapper

KAGSize = 1

Input file = C:\anu\25july2006\Respect.mpg
Output file = c:\anu\27july2006\respect_mxf.mxf

Output OP = OP1a
ERROR: Could not identify the essence in file "C:\anu\25july2006\Respect.mpg"

My doubt is, why i am unable to create the mxf wrap of .mpg files other then those provided with the mxfgui2.zip.

Please help me in getting my doubt clarified .

Thank You
Anu.K

There are many, many types of MPEG files in existance.

At present only MPEG2 Video Elementary Streams are supported by the parsers in MXFLib.

Not supported formats include Transport Streams, Program Streams, MPEG Audio, MPEG4 Video and MPEG1 Video (although this will work with some warnings).
